The Shanghai Museum, located in People's Square, the centre of Shanghai, is a museum of ancient Chinese art. While working on a two-week placement, their museum design team approached us to create a poster campaign that promotes the museum’s collections to both Chinese and Western audiences.

Alignment of design
Our brief was to boost interest in the museum to both Chinese and Western Audiences. We took into consideration a variety of ways of placing and formatting text so that the Chinese and English translations could blend seamlessly.
The inspiration for the design layout came from within the museum galleries, darkly lit rooms and objects in showcases was the starting point to create the layout grid for the poster designs.
