The Roma Support group is a charity working with thousands of refugees and migrants to improve quality of life. We created a digital platform to voice unrecorded Roma history and begin to overturn negative stereotypes towards their community.

Clear hierarchy wireframe
At mash-design client engagement is the number one priority. Teaming up with The Roma support group meant we could develop the website hierarchy diagram, right from day one. From there we channelled all our energy into the journey we wanted the audience to take through the website.
In-depth exploration
Our approach to the design of the website was defined by one clear goal, to maximise engagement. From the easy to navigate home page to the purposefully designed landing pages at each section, our model pushes audiences to read on.
Easy learning
Interview extracts, videos and downloadable educational packs are easy to find thanks to an uncomplicated UX and approach to accessibility. Teachers can easily navigate through the website, selecting their topic and with a simple click download the entire resource pack.
This project allowed us to support the great work the Roma Oral History Project is doing to help educate children about the struggles of Roma communities in the UK and helping create a digital learning resource that young children will be taught in schools.
